We’ll start with what you’ll see first – packaging – and there’s nothing special here. This set of dinosaur squirters comes in the usual plastic lid and bucket packaging that most multi-piece toy sets come in.
That said, packaging is functional and great for storage when not in use, but nothing to write home about.
The set is advertised as being 16-pieces, which is accurate; however, only 12 of the 16 are dinosaur squirters – the other 4 are background rock pieces. If you ask us, this is a strange choice, as you will not be using these in the bath.
That said, we can see that they might add some variety when it comes to playing – it’s easy to see that these pieces might get more use if, for instance, playing at the beach or in a sandpit out in the backyard.
We were most impressed – surprised even – by the quality of these dinosaur squirters, especially given their low price point, with each squirter costing around $1.80 each. At this price, we honestly weren’t expecting much when it came to quality.
Each of the dinosaurs is well made, designed, and feature fun, vibrant colors – something which might not come through as well as it might in our pictures.
Their cute cartoon style is also a big hit with younger children. Our 3-year-old loved these, reaching for them at bath time over the usual assortment of more realistic-looking dinosaur bath toys and plastic figures.
While it might not be immediately apparent what the species of all 12 dinosaur squirters in the set are, you’ll immediately notice plenty of favorites – with Ankylosaurus, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and T-Rex all here. This gives the collection an added educational benefit, being a great way to introduce dinosaurs and the various types of dinosaurs to your child.
We’ll also add that everything here is 100% kid-friendly and safe, being made from non-toxic, BPA-free materials. The product is recommended for children aged 36+ months.
Overall, if you’re looking for a set of dinosaur squirters for bath time on a budget, you can do much worse than this product from Hely Cancy. The set offers bright, vibrant colors, perfect for younger children, and plenty of variety, great for teaching your child about many of the different, more popular types of dinosaurs.
