Chrome users will be familiar with the browser’s famous built-in dinosaur game, which appears whenever your connection to the internet goes down.
In the last couple of days, to coincide with the start of the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, the Dino game has had a bit of a face-lift, with new variants of the popular game being launch to celebrate this year’s Olympics.
To give the game a go for yourself, put “chrome://dino” into the browser’s address bar to head over to the game. Once there, jump over the first obstacle, then run into the 8-bit Olympic torch, which will transport you into one of the sports-themed versions of the game.
The new version of the dino game was first discovered by Reddit users last week. It includes all sorts of unique versions of the game, covering several of the game’s most popular events – including hurdles, equestrian jumping, gymnastic vaulting, swimming, and surfing, to name a few.
As we’ve already stated, you’ll need to head over to “chrome://dino” to give it a go for yourself before the new Olympic theme disappears forever.
If you missed the opportunity to try it out before Google retired it at the end of this summer’s Olympic Games, you can play a remake of the game over at No Internet Game.
