With Season 3 of the Netflix hit Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous reaching our screens a few weeks ago, Mattel has revealed an all-new range of dinosaur figures for fans of the popular animated series.
There are two new figures – the Ocean Protector Mosasaurus and the Slash N’ Battle Scorpios Rex. The first of these – Mosasurus – first debuted in 2015’s Jurassic World, while the second – Scorpios Rex – was first seen by fans in the Camp Cretaceous series.
We’ve given details of the two Mattel dinosaur toy figures – their features, price, and release dates below.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Dino Escape Ocean Protector Mosasaurus

The all-new Jurassic World Ocean Protector Mosasaurus is an excellent example of Mattel’s commitment to sustainability, with each figure being made from ocean-bound plastic. This choice of material comes off the back of the brand’s recently announced PlayBack program, which – along with other initiatives – will put environmental issues and sustainability in focus across Mattel’s portfolio.
This figure truly is colossal – measuring 8.5” x 17” – this giant will be a great addition to any Jurassic World fan’s growing collection. As well as its size, this figure also benefits from realistic sculpting and is fully articulated, featuring moveable joints and jaw, making it easier to pose the figure, bringing it to life.
While technically not a dinosaur – in fact, this figure is the first non-dinosaur to be included in the Dino Escape product line – it’s still a great addition to any collection. And given its imposing size, it will be one of the more attention-grabbing figures on your display shelf or in your dinosaur toy box.
The Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Dino Escape Ocean Protector Mosasaurus will retail for $34.99 and is suitable for children aged 4+ years.
Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Dino Escape Slash N’ Battle Scorpios Rex

The Scorpios Rex is an all-new hybrid dinosaur, first revealed in Season 3 of Camp Cretaceous. This dino is fast, unpredictable, and of course, dangerous – being both ferocious and armed with poisonous quills.
This figure has plenty of features that make it great for play – including dynamic claw slashing, chomp and roar sound effects, and tail whip attack action. In addition to these features, the figure is also fully articulated, making it easy to pose for more realistic play.
The Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous Dino Escape Slash N’ Battle Scorpios Rex will retail for $24.99 and is suitable for children aged 4+ years.
These all-new dino action figures from Mattel will be available from this month.
If you’re keen on adding them to your collection, it’s best to act fast! Figures from the Camp Cretaceous product line have a habit of being difficult to find, selling out quickly.
